I.    Activating Prior Knowledge
Christopher Columbus is credited for discovering the New World; however, we know that this is no longer true. What makes Columbus' voyage and the subsequent voyages of other explorers important is what happened as a result of their travels. New goods were discovered and new trading routes were developed. The chart above shows the outcomes of the Columbian exchange.

II.    Setting A Purpose for Reading
As you look at the chart above, analyze the types of goods and items that were traded. How might these goods and items impact the world?

III.    Reading the Text (Read, Re-read, and Read Again)
As you are looking at the chart, try to identify patterns in the goods that were traded and where they were traded.

IV.    Personal Reflection - Based on your reading of the chart, respond to the following questions in your post.
    1.    Look at the lists of crops, livestock, and diseases brought to the Americas by Europeans, Asians, and Africans. What impact might those items have had on the people and environment of the Americas?
    2.    Look at the list of crops taken back to Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Americas. What impact might those items have had on the people and the environment of Europe, Asia, and Africa?
    3.    How might your diet be different without the exchange of crops and livestock?
    4.    How might our country be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people?

V.    Peer Reflection - Read one classmate's post and respond to what they have written.

Question 1. Well, some impacts might be that they might not live or they will have to be on life support.

Question 2. Sugar cane, Bananas,Grapes, and one more thing but I cant see it but these impact them because they will have more people moving in these places and that's a big state.

Question 3. Well, i think we would be so skinny that if we had got eaten they would have to eat 20 of us just to get full at the most.

Question 4. Well, everyone would eat and do what ever they wanted because there's no such thing as a disease.

1) Maybe some of the impacts that the America's people and environment might had is that the Americas might gotten more stronger by the new fruits and foods they send over hear, also that the Americas got more tools to improve, and the diseases that the Europeans, Asians, and Africans brought to the Americas.

2) Maybe some of the impacts that the Europeans, Asians, and Africans took back with them was the great goods that maybe helped them with their health.

3) We would not know what some good things such as honeybees, grapes, onions, coffee beans, fruits, we will only know and eat veggies and turkeys, and some fruits.

4) We would not know some diseases called Smallpox, Influenza, Typhus, the Whooping Cough and much more, and we would be very healthy and will have much more population.

1. The impact that might have on Americans is that we give them our food and they give us there animals and diseases, so that is unfair to the Americans. Also the Americans have to travel east and the Asians have to travel to west. So their moving to our state and were moving to theirs.
2. The crops that we had gave to the Asians might have a impact on the Asians because of how much fruits ad veggies were giving to them is to much. You never know if they don't like what were giving them. So that would the impact of the crops that we traded with the Asians.
3. Our diet would be different because the disease coming to us and also the grains. Grains might change your diet if you eat it to much because of the fibers in it, fibers should be eaten 1 a day for each person. Especially if you have younger children with you 24/7.
4. Our country would be different without the spread of diseases between two people because there will be to much people to handle at once. Also the population would rise if there that much people., the population would rise if their is no one dieing and the population will decrease if they are killing people.

1) Look at the lists of crops, livestock, and diseases brought to the Americas by Europeans, Asians, and Africans. What impact might those items have had on the people and environment of the Americas? it would really effect us because if the diseases spread and all the people would be sick and all of the people would die and that would led to a fall of the empire and that would make all the empires fall and would make the world not have any empires

2) Look at the list of crops taken back to Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Americas. What impact might those items have had on the people and the environment of Europe, Asia, and Africa? that wouldn't really effect them because they would already have the diseases and that wouldn't do anything to them and that wouldn't be a harmful thing

3) How might your diet be different without the exchange of crops and livestock? It would really wouldn't be a change for us because we are already being healthy enough

4) How might our country be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people? It would make a huge difference because if we didnt have diseases and that would be a good thing

1) The impact might be bad, because the dieases might spread to the whole world and the people could die or get sick because of the diseases. The diseases could make the people bad and sick and more bad things that can happened to the people. The dieases that could impact the evirments because the diseases could also make the evirmant bad too. The diseases could imapact the evirmant because it could make the evirmant unhealth and clean.

2) The impact is that it could be great because maybe some of things were helpful and great to the people. The Americans brought some things and trade in for some new things too. The new things also impact evirmant because there could be new animals and food.

3) I think that it could be bad because we would had more food and animals too. It can also be bad because if we didn't had more food and animals we wouldn't have that much things to eat.

4) Our country would be different because there was diseases and bad things were going on and if there wasn't any diseases and more bad things that will amke more people stay alive and not a lot of people dieing a lot.

1) The crops, livestock, and diseases brought by the Europeans, Asians, and Africans has good and bad effects. The good effects are that since we received new crops and livestock we have more things to sell or use for food. Livestock can be used for selling or for produce of food. Crops can be grown and sold or eaten. Diseases are the bad effects, they can be spread by human convergence, or spread by livestock we have been given. Diseases can lower our population depending on how effective the diseases are.
2) The crops taken back to the Europeans, Asians, and Africans can help them just like it can help the Americas. They can use the new crops to eat or sell and make more money. Most of the things we gave are cash crops or luxery crops, these can be sold for lots of money. But to get these new crops a lot of slavery was done.
3) My diets wouldn't be very healthy neither would anyone else in America. This is because most of the things that we received from the Europeans, Asians, and Africans were healthy foods. Without this exchange most people in America wouldn't be healthy.
4) Our country could be a lot different when it comes to population. Disease kills people most of the time, our population would be tremendous in height. Our country might not have land for all of the people so we would have to find different options with room for people. We might just have to send people away because we wouldn't have room.

1.The impact could have been that a lot of people got wipped out and killed.
2.The crops could have impacted the environment because some of the people could have been really hungry and getting more and new food was really good because you could plant more and have more food to eat.
3.The diets of the people would not have changed because if the Columbian Exchange would have not have happened the diets would have not have changed from the way their diets would be before they started to exchange goods.
4.The country might be different because without the spread of diseases the population would grow a lot but wars would be hard to win because their would be soooo many soldiers fighting for their lives. It would also change because we wouldn’t have to put up with soooo many shots and doctor bills and breast cancer and all the other mean illnesses wouldn’t even exist.

1. I would say that some of the impacts that Europe brought to America are that the new foods opened a new world to make better food from new ingredients and spices. People got healthier and stronger. The diseases killed people because they didn't know them they didn't have the medicines for them.

2. I would say that the goods they took back with them made a big impact to the people because it really helped with health the animal growth because they didn't have to kill that many animals.

3. Your diet would possibly fall very badly because you wouldn't have all the natural resources and vitamins. So you wouldn't be as healthy and without the meat some people could get sick.

4. I think it would be very dangerous and different. Our immune system would be strong but when you would get exposed to this diseases you would get very sick and your immune system wouldn't be able to fight off the germs because they weren't ever exposed to them. People could die easy, but we would be very strong.

They could all also use them as spices to store their foods. they could use sugar and salt to do this. It also might affect the population because the diseases they brought.
2. I think they would have the same impacts that we had on the stuff that they gave us. Exept that we didn't give them diseases.
3.We would not have many thing. We wouldn't have many food wed have now like fruits and coffee and many meats.

1. Look at the lists of crops, livestock, and diseases brought to the Americas by Europeans, Asians, and Africans. What impact might those items have had on the people and environment of the Americas? Crops good because you get food you didn't have before. Livestock good and bad, bad because it could have diseases, good because you have food.Diseases bad because you could be really sick or die.
2. Look at the list of crops taken back to Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Americas. What impact might those items have had on the people and the environment of Europe, Asia, and Africa? We sent them tobacco which could of shortend the life of some of them. We sent them crops we gave them food they didn't have. We sent them turkey (poultry) we gave them more food they didn't have.

3. How might your diet be different without the exchange of crops and livestock? If we didn't trade we wouldn't have food like cows, sheep and pig. We would only have turkey as the only meat to eat. We wouldn't have peaches or olives. We would only have tomatos, pineapples and potatoes.
4. How might our country be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people? If we didn't have the Great Dying we would have a lot of Nativeamricans. The Great Dying was a large dying of Nativeamricans. The small pox never would have killed thousands of Nativeamricans.

1. It helps them by giving the people new things and ideas that help the people and animals live longer because they have new ways to keep the people from dying of starvation and sickness because they didn't have the people to cure the poor or make food for everybody. This Exchange will help the government to decide on what is right, and their land will look a lot better than before.
2. It would impact them by the food and how it will help them stay alive longer because they will eat lots of fruits and vegetables that are healthier to many people in the world other than snacks and desserts. This is something that helped the world be better because we got new foods that everybody eats today.
3. It would be different because we would be big and we may never live a lot longer because we have the fruits and vegetables that are better for us than other food items. The things that get us is that when people got a disease it spread all over the city and their was nobody their to cure it that a lot of people died before they had the right materials to help the people save their life.
4. If the disease's wouldn't spread I think we would be a better country and a lot of people wouldn't of been as sick and we would have a lot more people in our history and the people that we talk about in Social Studies class because if they would of lived longer then they would be the people we talk about in class but since they died of a disease then we never talk about them in class.

1) Many different crops, animals, and diseases were brought to the Americas by Asia, Europe, and Africa. Some of the effects were positive, others, not so much. Positive effects include longer healthier life due to better nutrition, more food, and more interaction with other parts of the globe. Negative effects include population drop due to widespread disease, and foreign dependency due to too much trade.

2) Many products were brought to Europe, Africa, and Asia from the Americas. The exchange of these products had both negative and positive effects on Europe, Asia, and Africa. Positive effects include better nutrition, longer lives, increased population, and more trade and interaction. Negative effects were basically the same as the negative effects for number one.

3) Without the exchange of livestock and crops my diet would be very different. The Europeans, Asians, and Africans brought citrus fruits, bananas, coffee beans, honey bees, and grapes. Without those things here our diets would probably have less nutrition and be less healthy.

4) Our country would be different without the spread of disease due the Columbian Exchange. We would be alot more healthy and populations wouldn'y have dropped as drastically as they did when small pox was brought over here. People would live longer and populations would increase rapidly if we didn't have diseases brought over by Afroeurasia.

1. The impact of the diseases on the people and the environment was that their was a decrease on population because of the new diseases all the people from Europe were bringing in. A lot of people were sick so they couldn't water any crops therefore crops died and more people died because without some crops which is some of our food we die.

2.They would get new foods from our lands that they had never knew of and they could make better things with it they could make new foods.Or POSSIBLY since they brought some diseases with them to the Americas , some of the farmers might have gotten infected with those diseases and gotten some of the plants infected and the people from Europe ate the fruit or vegetables and got a negative impact from it.

3.The diet might be different because if you haven't exchanged any goods of yours with people that have found good diets with goods that they have and you don't you maybe won't have as good diet products as them.

4.Our country would be different because we would have a bigger population if the Europeans wouldn't have brought in all of those diseases that led to our population decrease.

1. By what the Asians, Europeans, and Africans brought to the Americas is very important. It made a huge imact on how the Americans did things. The new foods and livestock gave us a good new advancement in the other ways to make foods. The bad part is the plauge that set in, it made it very hard for us to survive because we didn't have the technlogy in medicine.
2. The impact that the American's goods made Europe go crazy. They began to have chocolate and it was so rare that only the richest people had the goods coming from the Americas.
3. If the exchange of goods did not happen it would have made it anyone a lot more unhealthy because most of the fruits came from Europe and the exact opposite in America.
4. If plague wouldn't have spread throughout the Americas it might have made the groups in the Americas stay alive and control the area today.

1.) The impact all of this stuff would have on the America's like the foods and livestock would have been good becuse new foods were healthy and wich is why people started living longer and livestock could have been raised and they could have done some good. The diseases on the other hand, were not necesary becuse people were doing fine until the traders had to bring them and this caused lots of problems like The Great Dying.

2.) The same impact could have happened because there was no difference accept that the America's didn't give them diseases and we actualy helped them with having new and better goods like the potatoe wich realy helped. The other people could have been amazed at the brand new goods they have never seen and it could have caused some people to move to the America's.

3.) The way our diet could have been different is that people wouldn't live as much as we do and that they wouldn't be as healthy without the goods exchaned.

4.) The way our countrie would be different if the other people didn't bring diseases would be that we wouldn't be sick often and there would have never been a Great Dying and less natives could have died. Another thing is that maybe we wouldn't have even gotten any diseases at all and we would never be sick but at some point humans have to mess up.

1. Crops and livestock are good things that the Europeans, Asians, and Africans brought over to the Americas. But the diseases are not good instead they are deadly like the small pox it killed many, many people.
2. The crops that we brought to Europe were good for the health of a human. Without those crops lots of humans would be unhealthy and now they have those vegetables and they are healthy.
3. We would be sick and unhealthy cause we wouldn't have milk from the livestock.
4. I think we would have more people because a lot of our people died from diseases and if there were no diseases then they would still be alive.

1. The impacts of these can be good or bad. They can be good because crops and livestock helps you eat and live a longer life. They can be bad because diseases is what will kill the land, people, and population.

2. The crops, and foods that are given to Afroeurasia are good because when they have food and crops it helps people live better, and longer, and helps the population grow.

3. Your diet can be different with the exchange of goods because when you get food that you haven't seen before the way you eat might change because you want to eat those new foods.

4. Our country will be different because when people/group have diseases they might kill that person/group and go on to a new person/group.

1) The impact I think that I think happened during the Columbian Trade is that there was both positive and negative impacts. The positive impacts are that Columbian created a trading route, people were living longer because of the needed nutrients brought over by the Europeans, Asians, and Africans. Negative impacts were that the Europeans, Asians and Africans brought over diseases and fought the Indians for their land so war and diseases killed many which led to a dramatic population lose. The chart has a list of multiple diseases that could have caused the dramatic population drop, but the main one was smallpox. Other diseases were malaria, whooping cough, influenza and measles.

2) Many crops and goods were taken back to Europe, Asia and Africa from the Americas. Crops and goods like chocolate, tobacco and potatos were some that were taken over to Europe, Asia and Africa. The impact those things and others had were that there was a high demand for them and like potatos, made people live longer. Kings, queens and the wealthy people loved the taste of the chocolate brought back. They loved it so much that they experimented with it and melted it and created hot chocolate. Only the rich and powerful could drink it and gave it to their guests to drink to show they were in a wealthy home.

3) I think that our diet without the exchange and trade of goods would be bland, flavorless and dull. I also think it would be not healthy enough or not filling enough because we wouldn’t be getting all of the nutrients that we need to survive and we would eating the exact same thing every single day. The Indians wouldn’t be getting all of the meat and protein in their meals without a lot of meat in their surroundings. The Europeans, Asians and Africans wouldn’t be getting all of the vitamins and minerals that they needed in every meal because they didn’t have a lot of vegetables in their surroundings.

4) I think that our country without the spread of diseases throughout different groups of people would be healthier and would live longer because we wouldn’t have to worry about getting sick with the flu, common cold or worse illnesses like pneumonia and chickenpox. We would have a healthier, more nutritious society with population rapidly growing and expanding.

1) The foods, crops, and diseases that was given to america could be helpful and bad. The food and crops would be good because people would have new foods to eat and they would be able to get more nutrients in their body. The disease on the other hand would be bad because people would get sick and die. Meaning if they get sick they will probably die and the population would drop.

2) It would be a good impact on Europe, Asia, and Africa to get new food from America. They would be able to get a new variety of foods and get more nutrients in the their system.

3) If they didn't have new foods coming in they would be eating the same foods and they may not have gotten all the foods they may have needed. Also if they didn't exchange foods they wouldn't have had everything they need, therefore meaning the wouldn't have been healthy if possible.

4)More people would be healthy and less people would be in the emergency rooms and hospitals. So if they have less patients the less money staff get because there wouldn't be any insurance money or cash money coming in for the care. There would also be less people in nursing homes and that's also less money for them and they would eventually become unemployed. So it would be bad for all the people who works in the medical feild.

1)The things that European;Asian;and the African brought, had good and bad impacts. The crops had some good impacts like making more economy. The livestock might have helped more the people because that way the people didnt have to go far to get food, instead they would have to walk to their backyard or so and get their food like with chickens they would get eggs.that would also help and benefit you with vitamins. The diseases were not good.Smallpopx was a deadly disaease that killed millions.

2)Many crops were brought back to Europe,Asia, and Africa.most of the crops brought posotive things like longer life. The crops helped benefit the people and gave them more vitamins too. The Beans and Potatoes was a major item. They were the most important crops because they gave more vitamins and more life.

3)Without the exchange of lifestocks our life would have been hard because we would nt have as much nutrition and we wouldnt get to eat what we like like hamburgers because it come from cows and the cows came from the exchange.

4)Our lives without diseases might have helped and might have given us life without any dangers but if we think on the other side, we would have not been aware for what was coming up.Diseases helped us think more deep and letted us make more ideas for medicine, and science.

1. The trade from the columbian exchange could make or break north america. The food trade was amazing for the people. They could trade things they had too much of for things they really needed. the disease trade is what broke them. the spanish brought over diseases ,like small pox , that the natives had no immunity to. this caused the population to drop dramaticlly.

2. europe had the same kind of impact that north america had. the food helped them tremendously but the disease not so much. the problem with the diseases was the people had never seen them before. when your body has never expeirenced a sickness it can't fight against it. that is why people react so terribly to diseases.

3. our lives would change dramatically. we drug addicts, chocolate lovers, and coffee drinkers out here in america. none of them would be here if it weren't for the columbian exchange. tobbacco, chocolate, and coffee can't grow here in america so we have to get it from another country which we did through the columbian exchange.

4. i believe we would have been a very unsuccessful country. when the spanish came with diseases we built immunity. if that didn't happen we would still be un aware of the diseases.

2.The crops that went to Asia, china,Europe might have had a good impact on the enviornment because they might have not seen things like them plus most crops can be reused.

1) It would have a great impact on our people, helping us survive by giving us cows and pigs to eat, sheep to make clothes with, and horses to ride to places. The diseases, however, killed us off a little bit, decreasing our polulation.

2) When the people in Europe, Asia, and Africa recieved these crops, it gave them more food to grow, eat, and make money off of. Some of it may not have been able to grow in certian places though.

3) My diet would differ because I would have no meat, and I would miss it if I knew I'd had it before.

4) Less people would have died, but that means there would be more bad people in the world. There might even be more war, or maybe less.

1. The impact to the Americas from the crops, livestock, and diseases brought from the Europeans, Africans, and Asians. The crops and livestock would help them with food and animals. The diseases would cause the population to drop.
2. If the Americas took the diseases, crops, and livestock back to the Europeans, Africans, and Asians. The livestock and crops would not help them to much if they already had that before, but it still may help. The disease will have about the same impact to them as it did on the Americas.
3. If you did not exchange of crops and livestock then you would be eating about the same thing without trade ffrom different places. Different places have different things that is why they trade.
4. Our country might be different because we would not have different diseases from different people. That would just add onto the diseases that we already had.

1. What I see shows me what they traded. There was positives and negatives to trade. They traded food which was good and they traded disease that created a genocide. Like smallpox and malaria. So trade helped increase and decrease the population of people.
2. I think that the crops that were traded helped increase the population over their. The potatoes and vegetables helped increase the life span of people living there. They have probably never seen food items like that.
3. I think that their diet would change because there would be more vitamins and riches in the food. So they got healthier while eating. They got more meat, which provides protein.
4. I think that our country is different because we do not have diseases because we would not have as many people here because if we got a big disease we may not have enough medication to treat it.

1. The new animals, crops and diseases impacted the people and the environment of the americas in many ways. It impacted the people by giving them food, clothes, protection and death. The diseases killed many, many people and many villages in pieces, it killed whole clans, it brought fear to them. whilst the corps gave them more food to eat , let them stay in one place advance in their ways.It aloowed to have more ways to survive. The animals let have a better chance against the animals they hunted, as well as more food to eat. They also used the animals for clothes to keep warm and tools. The changes made the environment lose some of its trees and plants. It made environment have more animals that needed to hold

2 The list of crops taken back to Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Americas impacted the people and the environment of Europe, Asia, and Africa a lot. It made those things priced and wanted by people. People would fight about them because the are scarce to that part of the world. it aslo have little power over other places that didn't have it. It also gave them money because they would sell to people who would pay a lot for it. It didn't really affect the environment a lot, it might of made more people to travel people to the place but thats pretty much it.

3. My diet be different without the exchange of crops and livestock in many ways. I would have a lot of meat to eat. My diet would have a lot of veggies and fruits. Even if we had meat It would be scarce and priced high. The fruits and veggies would be a select few though because the europeans gave kore to us than us to them. We wouldn't have many things we have without them.

4. Our country be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people. We wouldn't have many sicknesses. We would be a lot more healthy people and not a lot of people wouldn't have died. We would have a greater population then we have now. So groups that died out might have been alive today. Diseases today would different and less dangerous, because we would had some immunity to the sickness so it wouldn't be so bad as it would have been earlier had been.

1) Europe, Africa, and Asia, brought fruit, cows and diseases. The fruit is healthy and can increase health in America and peaple may live longer, which can increase population. The live cows can be used to make dairy or it can be kiled for meat skin and other things. The diseases that were brought to America can kill and or shorten th lives of Americans, which can lead to a decrease in poulation.

2) America sent vegtables and turkeys to Europe,Africa, and Asia. The vegtables are healthy and improve health and can increase the average lifespan, which leads to a increase in population. The turkey can be used to get eggs that can be eaton or if a person is desperate for food they can eat the turkey itself.

3) Without the trading of crops and live stock America is limited on cirtian crops and live stock. The map sais that America sends vegtables and turkeys to Europe, Africa, and Asia, and Europe, Africa, and Asia send fruits and cows to America. If America is not recieving fruit and cows from Europe, Africa, and Asia then America does not have fruits or cows which changes the diet of the peaple in America which can change the health and amount of live stock in America.

4) If Europe, Africa, and Asia did not bring diseases to America then the peaple in America will not get sick nearly as often and the peaple of America will live longer which increases Americas population.

1. Looks at the list of crops, lifestock, and diseases brought to the Americas by Europeans, Asians, and Africans. What impact might those items have had on the people and environment of the Americas? The crops and livestock would have had a positive impact because it gave the Americas more food to eat. The diseases would have had a negative impact because these diseases would leave to cultures or races of people dying out. Yes the exchange of crops and livestock were good but the exchange of diseases were not.

2. Look at the list of crops taken to Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Americas. What impact might those items have on the people and environment of Europe, Asia, and Africa? It might have benefited them more than anything, they mave have got sick trying the new food but that is really the only thing bad that could happened. So, they mostly benefited them from getting new food from the Americas.

3. How might your diet be different without the exchange of crops and livestock? Well, we woudn;t have the choice of foods that we have now and we would not have as much fruit and meat as we have now. It would change a persons whole lifestyle of how we eat.

4. How might our country be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people? We would have so much more people now than we do, different kinds of culture would be striving throughout the country. Our country would be bigger and have more races of people in it.

1. The coming of new animals, crops and diseases to Europe, Asia, and Africa affected the people by, the animals gave new products such as chicken and the crops gave new food like potatoes, cocoa, and pumpkins caused people to live longer and have more children increasing population. The diseases killed off a lot people and then smallpox and the black plaque killed of millions of people.
2. The crops taken back to Europe included potatoes and cocoa. These impacted the people of Europe by making them live longer and causing them to have more children increasing population also it created trade and then people became wealthier and the middle class was beginning to form.
3. People’s diets probably changed when the food exchange came because people probably went from eating wheat and bread to eating potatoes and corn and rice and lots of other healthy foods.

1. I think that the items traded to the Americas by the Europeans, Asians, and Africans had a big impact on the Americas. animals like cows and pigs introduced more meat and more protien to the diet of most people living in the Amercas along with citris fruit which had a lot of vitamin c. Diseases were also brought to the Americas which I think could have infected and killed most of the population.

2. I also think that items traded to the Europeans, Asians, and Africans by the Americas had a big impact on the Europeans, Asians, and Africans. The were given cocoa which could be made into chocolate that was very expensive. They were also given potatoes and beans which spread and improved nutricion worldwide.

3. Without the exchange of crops and livestock, our diets would be very different. We would not have things like bread or rice and we wouldn't have many of the meats that we have today. We also would not have things like coffee, oats , olives, grapes, bannanas and peaches.

4. I think that our country would be different without the spread of diseases because there would be a lot more poeple and a lot less space. I also think that we would be facing the problems that we do today, such as overcrowded cities, hundreds of years ago because of the growing of the population. One of the events that woud not have happened would be The Great Dying which was cause by diseases like smallpox and killed around 21 million people in the Americas.

The crops would impact them because it would give them food to eat. The livestock would help by letting the people plant crops. The cow's poop would help the crops. The diseases would have a very big impact. The diseases would be a a big impact because it would start to kill people and there wouldn't be that may people to get the job done.

The impact that those people would have on them is the cocoa beans. It would help them have chocolate. The fruits would be very healthy for them to eat. Of what they had to give to the Africans, that wouldn't be enough for the people. But then when they traded, it gave them mire food.

Q4) If there was no disease less people would have died and more generations would have lived.

1. The items traded to the Americas from the Europeans, Asians and the Africans impacted America a lot. The fruits, vegetables, and the meat did help the people become healthy. However the diseases made the healthy people die which means the population decreased.

2. The items traded to the Europeans, Asians, and Africans from the Americans helped them. The items given to them such as potatoes, corn and beans were very valuable in nutrition. They also got cacao that was very valuable because they could make chocolate with it.

3. Our diet would be different without the exchange of goods because we wouldn't have many things that we also need for our nutrition. This means that although we would be healthy we would have to eat the same things over and over.

4. Our country would be different without the spread of diseases because the diseases wouldn't be able to travel. Without the travel of diseases we would suffer of over population because the diseases would only be in one section of the world. However we would also suffer of population decrease because the people in the part of the world where the diseases were would die.

1. Some of the livestock, diseases, and crops both caused harm and help to the Americans; but mostly harm.

The crops are listed below:
Peaches
Pears
Coffee Beans
Onions
and Olives

The diseases are listed also:

Whooping Cough
Measles
Influenza
Diphtheria

Livestock:
Cattle
Sheep
Pigs
Horses

2. The crops made a very good impact on their lives. It gave them so much more food, choices and healthier economy.

The lists of crops; and other items:
Tobacco
Peppers
Potatoes
Corn
Tomatoes

3. My diet would be different because I wouldn't have rice or wheat which would mean no sandwiches. I would have no hamburgers or bacon.

4. We might have been overpopulated and that might have ran in to some problems and it was good in a way that diseases did happen.

3.My diet might change because I will be eating more fruits instead of crops.
4. The population would be much larger than it was before the diseases were spread.

You need to explain your answers more. If I had not read the questions I would have no clue what you were talking about. I barely know what your talking about after reading the questions twice! And I think you should double check your spelling and grammar before you post because I found numerous grammatical errors. Besides all of your grammar mistakes I think your answers are pretty good. :)

Q1. The impact on the people and enivorment of America is the crop and livestock was postive for food but the diseases made more people to get sick and that less people (who died from the diseases). Q2. It would have a god impact on the enivorment Europe Asisa and Africa because a lot of the crops and livestock are a lot foods we use today. Q3. My diet would not have much food and could not be as healthy because a lot of the crops are what helps us stay healthy. Q4.our country would be diffrent because a lot of people would not be sick and we have more people in our world

1 I think that the fruits will help and the animals but they brought many diseases from that.

2 The crops we gave them will help them live longer.

3 Without the crops from Asia we would be healthier because we would have no cows and no burgers but the body would have trouble healing itself without the fruits.

4 Without the extra diseases we would be healthier and would have a higher population.

#1 They will make new foods and people will die because of the Black Death. They will also have new animals and meats to eat
#2 They will also have new foods and cacao will have a big impact.
#3 I wouldn't have a heathy, healthy diet with out grapes, or citrus fruits.
#4 If we wouldn't have the diseases we wouldn't be aware of it and if it came around we would know what to do, in case.

1)The impact the crops had on Americas was that the crops provided more food and improved the economy. The impact the livestock had on Americas was that we had more food and the sheep provides us with more clothes. The impact the diseases had on Americas was that people started to die because of all the diseases the Europeans,Asians, and Africans brought over to America.
2)The impact the crops had on Europeans,Asians, and Africans was that they had more food and a better variety of food too.
3)My diet would be different without the exchange of crops and livestock because we wouldn't have cow for meat and pigs for meat too.Without the exchange of crops w wouldn't have thing like bread, oat meal, and flour.
4)Our country would be different without the spread of diseases between groups of people because it would probably be over populated.

1-Well there was allot of good things that they brought to us like. Peaches and pears I love peaches if they would have not brought that I would more than likely never had one. The coffee beans we would not have coffee. The livestock they brought us I'm so grateful for the cows, pigs, sheep, horses.the bad stuff they brought was all their diseases they brought seven different diseases to America.

2-I think it had a very good impact on them. Considering we did not give them any diseases. We gave them many fruits and veggies and different things to add flavor to food cacao, sugar cane, vanilla, peppers. I think they liked it.

3-We would more than likely not eat meat.We would not have coffee or onions for flavor. No olives no turnips.

4- We would more than likely be over populated. Therefor what earth copacity might be full. Then people would hove no food because there will be no land to farm. There will be no water because we would have drank it all. We might could have ram out of air. So the diseases actually helped us keep the earth from being over populated.

1)There was alot of impacts that America could have had on all the new stuff we recieved. We got diseases that we were not ready for.So lots of people died because of it. We got lots of new healthy stuff like wheat, grain and stuff like that. We got new animals for our farms . These are just some of the things that I think we had with all of this.
2) I think that the Europe, Asia, and Africa probably had the same reaction. They got lots of food. That they were presented to. Although maybe on some people these foods were bad for them. Also they probably were able to make new foods with these ingredients.
3) My diet would be very different without us exchanging food with other places. I would have never gotten bread without wheat and grain. Some of the kinds of foods would have tasted very different without lots of the ingredients to make it taste good.
4) Our country would be very different of we werent exchanging. We would have less food. We would not have as much of diseases which would make us have less medicine. Also the animals that would help our farms would not be here . An it would make farming much more harder . These is probably how our country would be like if we didnt exchange things.

Q2) I think that the crops from the America's impacted Europe, Asia, and Africa a lot. These people used American crops to develop traditional recipes still used today.

Q3) Without the exchange of crops and livestock our diet would not have as much variety.

Q4) Without the spread of diseases our country would be extremely different. I think that our country would be extremely over crowded because not as many people would have died during that time period.

1.)there is a huge impact on what had happened there was a lot of sickness/illness and if a lot of people had got sick then there was nothing or fewer amount of crops
2.)people TRIED to take the crops to other people but that just made it worse because they brought diseases with them and most of they crops rotted out
3.)without they exchange most people would have
died of starvation and they brought disease`s that probably made them die anyways
4.)we wouldn't have these diseases today and a lot of those people would not have died because of sickness

1. I think that the items that were traded to the Americas by the Europeans, Asians, and Africans had a pretty big impact. The livestock, fruits, and vegetables would give people the protein and the nutrition that they needed. The dieases however wouldn't do any good. They would bring the population down.
2. The items that were traded to the Europeans, Asians, and Africans by the Americas also had a big impact. They got the cocao which could be made into chocolate. The chocolate was very expensive so it could be used to make money.
3. Our diet would be different because we wouldn't have some of the food that we have today. We would still get nutrition and protein but we wouldn't have a variety of food to choose from.
4. Without the spread of diseases our country would be over populated. Without the diseases people would live longer which would mean more children would have been born. The population would get to big.The diseases would stay in one area of the world causing a population decrease there.

1. The impact might have been that they didnt have enough crops and that the trade routes werent to long for the food to travel.
2. The impact is that the Asians, Europeans and Africans is that they could go hungry and starve to death.
3. Mine or our diet might be different because we eat 3 meals a day or more and that means that some of us our either unhealthy or dying because of it.
4. There might be less death and less illness.

1:the impact on the ameiicans would be there would be more trade because a larger amount of food, new spices ,and recipies would be created , it would also bring people to America. The impact it would have on the inviorment would be the amount of farming would grow so the space to farm would have to grow as well as there would be animals habaits destroyed , less land to live on ,and trees would have to be cut down so that means less oxagion. 2;those items would impact Europe, Aisa , and Africa by them having more money because, the trade would increase because , more food or new food would attract people from all over different places that want new food so they go to Europe or Aisa to get what they needed. How it would impact the inviorment is people would need more land to harvest the new food so that would mean less land, so animals habitats would get destroyed 3:how my diet may be different is without the exchange of crops and, livestock is that I may not have the crops we do today such as turnups and peaches. we also would not have ham or bacon without the exchange of pigs, cows, horses, and cattle. 4; How our country would be different is their would be more people, more history, and maby even more great important people like the great explrers or artests.

2. THe crops and animals sent to asia, africa and europe have had a big impact on the because if we wouldnt have given them those items their lives wouldnt be like it is today and niether would their food.
