Rules of the Classroom Journal
Throughout the year, several assignments will link you to this site. All Kannapolis Middle and Kannapolis City Schools' rules and regulations apply to this website. When asked to complete assignments using this site, there are several rules of expected behavior that one must adhere.
1. When writing a response (responding to a response), use your first name, a period, last initial, a period, teacher's code and class period. For example: john.d.elv1
Teachers' Codes:
Sims = sim
Elvington = elv
Waugh = wau
Wease = wea
2. No Profanity, bullying, or other inappropriate behaviors.
3. To blog a response, click on "Add a Comment."
4. Responses should be written in standard English, not "text-speak." Remember, you are receiving a grade on your work and poor mechanics and sentence construction will have a negative impact on your grade.
5. When responding to a class mate's work, identify the person whom you are responding to by their jounal name (example: john.d.elv1).
6. When responding to a class mate's work, be constructive in your feedback. Offer suggestions and additional ideas to support their response.
